15 years with logistic industry and 11 years with Cargosol family I have been part of key multiple projects which led me to acquire multiple abilities and skills which keeps me in a state of continuous varied learning.
Initially, I questioned myself whether moving from one project to another is a progressive or regressive learning.
When I learnt about Robert Greene, author of five international bestsellers, till he was 36, he worked countless numbers of different jobs. He was a jack-of-all-trades until he met a publisher and then became famous and rich.
While I introspected, there is no correlation of career success or happiness into being a generalist (jack-of-all-trades) or a specialist (master of one). The correlation I infer is by being a generalist one increases ones own the employable opportunities.
The topic to contemplate is whether one should be a generalist or a specialist. In my view one can, be a specialist in something and a generalist at other things.
Being a Cargosolite I maximized this opportunity of being a Generalist and the doer by being open, flexible and adaptable. With utmost trust in the management’s decision, I proudly flow freely with all projects offered to me.
My colleague Mr. Shreyas Dalvi always says that I am सर्वगुणसंपन्न who strongly follow the Marathi saying: कमी तिथे आम्ही !!!
